Brickenden Bursary for New Teachers

The Brickenden Bursary for New Teachers is an initiative of ATENS to give assistance to individuals in their first five years of the profession. This bursary of $495 is for English teachers who show initiative, creativity, and school involvement. Teachers may nominate colleagues, or motivated individuals may nominate themselves. Preference is given to non-permanent teachers. Application Deadline: Emailed by January 31st.

Classroom Library Grants for Teachers

The ATENS Classroom Library Grants have been established to help support you and your students. Grant recipients will be contacted to create a book list, totaling up to $150, for delivery. The total number of grants will be determined by funds available. Application Deadline: Emailed by January 31st.

Classroom Library Grants for ATENS Committee Members

The ATENS Classroom Library Grants for Committee Members have been established to help support those teachers who work on planning the ATENS October conference. Grant recipients will be contacted to create a book list, totaling up to $200, for delivery. There will be a maximum of one grant per year. Application Deadline: Emailed by January 31st.
